HEELYS Is Back

HEELYS is back!!  And this time they have styles that the entire family can enjoy.  Long gone are the days when HEELYS were just for kids.  They recently unveiled their Fall 2012 collection and I love it!  In fact, I actually had the opportunity to review one of their latest styles for women.

How cute are these?!!
Move over red bottoms, I'm totally loving my new pink bottomed HEELYS Joggers.  Seriously, I've worn these cuties almost everyday since the FedEx truck dropped them off.  And yes, the wheels are removable.  And while we're on the subject of the wheels, I highly recommend that you practice in your kitchen or on a hard surface if you are going to wear them with the wheels in.  It does take a bit of practice to get the hang of gliding while balancing your weight on your heels, but once you got it, it's smooth sailing.

Pink Bottoms!! Pretty!!
What I really love most about the Jogger is that it's girly but with still has an athletic look.  This is perfect for my tomboy side.  The contrast of the black and charcoal with the detailing and silver HEELYS logo is a perfect color combination.  And I love that when the wheels aren't in, there's a black cover that I can snap in place.  Who likes walking around with a hole in the bottom of their shoes? I don't!

Overall, I'm very pleased my new addition to my shoe collection.  HEELYS has done a wonderful job of revamping their line.  If you're an athletic mom or have an active family then you might want to put a few of these on under the tree for Christmas.  Check out a few of the other styles I liked.

I Heart Stuart

I have a confession to make everyone.  I'm in love.  With another man!

It all started about four years ago.  I was flipping through a copy of Bride's magazine.  There they were...the most gorgeous white pumps I had ever seen!  They were elegant, sleek and had just the right amount of bling.

Who would have known that that would be I start my love affair with Stuart.  Stuart Weitzman that is.  And now I can't go into a single store that sells shoes without admiring their Stuart Weitzman selection.

It's such a rush.  I get butterflies and giddy.  It's at that moment that the tom boy in me takes a back seat and the girly girl me takes center stage.`

Aren't these just divine?  Do you heart Stuart too?

Stepping into Fall

One of my new favorite online spots shop for shoes is Infinity Shoes.  They have the latest trends and styles from brands we all know and love.  And what's even better is that they have pretty decent clearance.  And now they're offering Free Shipping on all orders thru September 30th with coupon code LSFREESHIP.

Anyways, it's been a while since I've updated my shoes.  I'm not the only one who noticed either.  I was putting on a pair of slip on loafers the other day and my husband said, "Isn't it time for another pair?"  What can I say, I like to get all my wear out of my shoes.    So, here are some lovelies that I'm debating about adding to my fall shoe rotation.

And of course, I couldn't help but look shoes for my love too.  He's a little bit less rough on his shoes but with his birthday coming up, I'm thinking that he might like one of the following choices below.  I'm certainly going to get him the bedroom slippers because he has a blue pair that are past by worn out.

And when it comes to dress shoes, he hasn't gotten a new pair since I've met him.  The sneakers are True Religion but I'm leaning more towards the loafers because I've never seen him a pair and want to revamp his look a little bit.

So, what do you all think?

Fashion Find: Stepping in Style

Aside from my obsession with clothes, purses and accessories, I also love love love shoes!!  Nothing can ruin an outfit more than wearing the wrong pair of shoes. Accessories you can take off once you leave the house, but not shoes unless you always carry a neutral pair.

I have to admit that as of late I have gone from that mom that rocks a heel no less than four inches to that mom that rocks flats, sneakers and flip flops.  And the reason I refer to myself as 'that mom' instead of 'that woman' is because my shoe change is a result of my motherhood status.  I find myself at sandy parks and playgrounds more now.

And I don't know about you but trying to navigate in sandy in four inch heels isn't exactly an easy task, especially when you're trying to keep up with an energetic two year old.  However, with a new baby soon to be here we'll be transitioning to more indoor type playdates because this summer heat down South is a killer and poor JJ will be too young to be exposed it for a while.

Anyways, I stumbled across a Infinity Shoes and I feel love with these beauties below.

Fashion Find-Faded Glory Flats

Let me just say that when it comes to everyday shoes, I'm a Dr. Scholl's girl at heart.  Those massaging gel soles just keep me on Cloud 9, especially since I'm standing or walking most of the day.  Top that with the fact that I have very flat feet and you know that no other shoe will do.  I've tried other flats and they just don't give my feet the support or comfort that they need.

The only complaint that I have about my Dr. Scholl's is that they don't last a long time.  And maybe that's because I do more walking and standing than the average person. Anyways, my current pair of Dr. Scholl's loafers started showing more than it's share of wear and I was forced to head out in search of a new pair of shoes.  And while I love Dr. Scholl's, I wasn't exactly thrilled about having to spend $30 and some change plus tax on a pair of shoes.  I know I know $30 seems cheap, but hey I'm a single mom on a budget.  Not to mention I'm moving and have moving expense, rent and utilities to cover in two weeks.

So, I decided to try a different brand.  As I walked the shoe aisles of our local Wally World aka WalMart, I stumbled across a deal I could not pass up.  Faded Glory flats for only $3.00!!  Now that's a price that I can work with for sure.  I have to admit that I was a little skeptical at first.  I know that Faded Glory is a great brand when it comes to clothing, but I'd never tried out their shoes before.

So, I decided to step my foot in a pair and see how they felt.  I was amazed to find out that the flats felt great.  They felt almost as better as the Dr. Scholl's.  I mean to be a regular shoe with no special gel soles or anything, they felt incredible awesome to my feet.  I decided I would test them out a little further and buy a pair.

Well, I am happy to report that it has been five days later and my feet still feel great.  I'm not saying that I won't ever buy another pair of Dr. Scholl's, but I'm not in a hurry to trade in my Faded Glory's either.
